Help in the next steps after getting Naturalization Certificate [with name change].
Hello ImmiHelp Community,

I read many posts here, and it helped me navigate the citizenship process thus far. So, thank you!

USCIS has placed me on the line for the Oath Ceremony. I hope I get it soon, and I will follow the process that comes with the notice. However, I have some questions about what I should do next. Also, I asked for a name change, so I wondered if someone can help me share their experience who had a name change.

In which order should I proceed? 1 or 2 below, or does it matter at all.

1. Update the record in the Social Security Office -> DMV -> Apply for Passport
2. Apply for passport -> updated the record in the Social Security Office -> DMV

Additionally, when you apply for OCI, is there something I should be aware of because of the name change?

I appreciate your help. And if there is anything else I should be doing once I receive the Naturalization Certificate, please let me know.

Thank you!
