We just came out of the USCIS building with a huge smile on our face. IO said case approved on the spot however the online status still shows “Interview was Scheduled”.
We took a bunch (LOTS) of documents and the officer loved how organized we were. There were few comments from this forum earlier about more documents raising “Red Flag”. If you have more documents, take all. It would be a red flag only if you give it to the officer unasked. However even if you have few, as long as you have quality paperwork, don’t worry.
Interview was scheduled at 8:20 AM today. Went in at 7:55 AM and finished by 8:25 AM. Indianapolis FO is known for separating the spouses for marriage based application so we were prepared for it.
Basic question about work, home, joint assets, immigration history etc.
I am an Indian citizen adjusting from H1B to Conditional GC.

Got EAD/AP July 6th 2020
Interview date August 11th 2020
Tips:
Take copies of all documents. It is mentioned in the interview notice.
Organize and familiarize yourself with documents so you know where it is placed in your folders without wasting the officers time.
Do a mock run at home with your spouse to recap important dates/facts.
