NYC Filers, I-485 sent in December 2019 or later (4)
Hi,
If any NY filers (any Field Office) who had sent his I-485 in December 2019 or later, and had been already approved or re/scheduled for an interview, please share his experience.
Time Line:
- EB-2 ROW
- Priority date: May 2019
- Received date: December 2019
- Interview scheduled for April 14th, 2020 (cancelled on March 2020)
The fiscal year for USCIS is over, no miracle for NY FOs filers, unless not for those who filed in December 2019 and later, well, unless not for me.
UPDATE: My second service request, sent 5 weeks ago, finally was "assigned to an officer for response", but it has been stuck in that status for a week now. I want to believe whoever is reviewing that SR is really doing something else than sending a canned response, I will wait for that.
In my last call to USCIS they told me that I have to wait 90 days since the date the FO was re-opened to receive a re-scheduled date for interview, so that is a kind of due date that I have to wait. Unfortunately, New York FO re-opened on July 20, 2020; however, that due date is less than 3 weeks from now.
- nycDec2020, is there any update in your case? it seems that the few weeks USCIS told you that it would take to process our cases in NY FO is taking too long.
- nych42019, any news on your RFI (for resending your medical forms)?
If any other NY filers can give some news on their cases, I would appreciate it.
