CONSULATE STAFF VERY FRIENDLY, OCI CELL DELHI VERY GOOD…
CKGS- SUCKS BIG TIME…

THEY ASKED ME TO PAY FOR FEDEX TWICE ( OCI plus RENUNCIATION) AND SENT ALL IN ONE ENVELOPE.
GUESS WHAT..THIS IS USA…NOT INDIA ......I AM GOING AFTER THEIR ASS IN COURT FOR THIS….WILL DRAG THEIR ASS AS MUCH AS I CAN…

POINTERS:
1) DON’T BOTHER Mr SHETTY or OCI CELL ATLEAST FOR 20-25 DAYS AFTER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT DATE ( LET THE SECURITY CLEARANCE ARRIVE AT THE OCI CELL IN DELHI…IT JUST NOT GOING TO HELP)
2) CONTACT DEPUTY CONSULAR GENERAL IF YOU HAVE A REAL EMERGENCY OR YOUR APPLICATION HAS TAKEN A VERY LONG TIME MORE THAN 2.5 MONTHS CC TO GENERAL E MAIL OF CONSULATE.
3) TRY TO SEND EMAIL TO THE ACTUAL EMAIL ADDRESS NOT THE WEBSITE LINK…I GUESS NO ONE CHECK THOSE..
4) EMBASSY STAFF AND OCI STAFF ARE NOT BAD. THEY ARE ACTUALLY HELPFUL WHEN YOU ARE IN DISTRESS. THEY DON’T WANT YOU TO WASTE YOUR MONEY…JUST LET THE RIGHT PERSON KNOW AT THE CONSULATE.
5) ALWAYS TO POLITE AND RESPECTFUL TOWARD CONSULATE STAFF IN YOUR E MAIL OR PHONE CONVERSATION..EVEN IF YOU ARE PISSED AND WANT TO HANG COUPLE OF THEM.
6) DON’T CALL CKGS PHONE FOR UPDATE, THEY ONLY KNOW WHAT GOVERNMENT WEBSITE SHOW..THEY WILL READ IT BACK TO YOU: SEND YOUR QUERY TO CKGS THOUGH THEIR WEBSITE FEEDBACK FORM….
7) CALL CKGS IF YOU HAVE AN EXCEPTION TO YOUR CASE..i.e. ESCALLATION NEED, IMPORTANT QUERY ( THEY ARE USELESS TAKE MY WORD FOR IT) .
