H1B, H4 Visa

First of all I want to pay my sincere thanks to immihelp and one of my friend who forwarded me the link of the site.
It came up as great help for me in interview preperations.

My interview was scheduled for 9:30 am on 20th of Sep. I reached around an hour early so had to wait outside for about 45 minutes.
After initial security checks and formalities, I headed for fingerprints. Then I had to wait for about an hour in the lobby for my interview. There was huge crowd waiting, which initially made me feel litle low on confidence coz I cud see lots of rejections, but as those were not for H1B so I re collected my confidence and patiently waited for my interview.

Finally my token number flashed on the screen, Although the person ahead of me got slip from the VO that he has to submit the client documents then only the visa will be issued, I again told myself that this should not divert my focus and I headed for the trial.

Here is the transcript:

VO: Good Morning
Me: Very Good Morning
VO: Can I see your papers ??
Me: (Handed over the passport with I797 and HDFC slip attached to it) Here we go.
VO: So you work in YYYY Company ??
Me: Yes
VO: You will work for the same company there ??
Me: Yes
VO: Since how long you are working for this company ??
Me: 2 years
VO: Your total experience ??
Me: 6 years
VO: Your highest qualification ??
Me: Answered accordingly
VO: Why are you going to US ??
Me: I am going for a temporary work assigment for my employer.
VO: How Much your salary would be ??
Me: YYYY Dollars per annum
VO: Who will be your manager ??
Me: Project Manager from my employer company
VO: How would you report him ??
Me: He is already there at the client site itself
Vo: So, you will be working at the client location ??
Me: Yes
Vo: What is the name of the client ?
Me: YYY Company
Vo: Tell me brief about your responsibilities there
Me: (I was waiting for this question and was well prepared) Answered confidently

VO interrupted me in between and I get to hear the GOLDEN LINE, Your visa is approved and you will be getting your passport within a week or less.
Me: Thank you, Have a nice day.
VO: You too..

Although I already have a valid B1 visa and my petiton had been relocated for some other location than of my parent petition, but VO didn't ask any questions about them.

Tips:
1. Prepare your documents well.
2. Try to bring any letter from Client. VO may ask for that.
3. Be loud and clear when you answer, Its all about confidence.
4. Try to tag your documents so If you will be asked, you dont waste any time with your folders.
