Guys, CKGS have no idea whether we will get PIO or application . See below response from them. I am also on same boat. I will update once I will receive my package. See the words:)
Dear Applicant,
Thank you for contacting CKGS via email.
With respect to your PIO Application, we see that your documents are ready for collections. Since you have paid $15 for the return shipping from CKGS, we have send the intimation to our CKGS Application Center to dispatch the documents as soon as possible and update to you with the tracking details.
As per the ne update all PIO applications, pending with CKGS / Mission for processing, are being returned to the applicants with a request to apply for an OCI card on the same fee prescribed for the PIO card. Henceforth, applicants may apply for an OCI card only, as the PIO card scheme is no longer in existence.
However, once you receive your documents please check if the PIO card is issued to you or not. As we are not informed by the Consulate weather your PIO card is approved or not.
If you received the approved PIO card, then there is no need to apply for OCI. However, if you found that there is not PIO card and only your application along with all the documents are sent back to you. Then you can apply for OCI.
