So I finally heard back from VFS after going nuts and posting on every channel, social media and reaching out to all my contacts and it seems like something worked that I received 5 emails from VFS and couple of calls yesterday from them. However, this morning, I received an update on my application saying, "INCORRECT APPLICATION FORMAT MUST BE IN PORTRAIT'.
Mind Blown !!! 🤯
So apparently when you update your application on Indian government website, it will automatically be in landscape (for me it was as I had to download it from the browser). Now they want me to print this in PORTRAIT and send again. So I've reached out to them again confirming because if I print this in portrait, the text will be small (to fit on the page). Lets see what they get back with.
Anyhow, seems like I was too hopeful with them as I only gave myself - 3 weeks to get passport in Tatkal service (1 week as claimed on there website) but seems like it's not going to happen so I've to cancel my airline tickets, airbnb which at this time are all non-refundable. Nevertheless, an important lesson to learn.
Wondering if anyone else had this issue with there application form or is VFS is just buying time for there screw-ups?
