Stuck in Security Clearance since Oct. 2006
I applied for my N400 along with my husband's in Oct.2006. Then we got our fingerprinting done in Oct.2006 itself. After that, my husband got his interview call and oath ceremony as well by April 2007. However, I did not hear back from them at all. Everytime I call, I get notified that my case is still in security clearance. The most recent call, my attorney made was sometime last week (as of March 24, 2008). She told me that after 3 enquiry calls to USCIS, they have to forward the call to the district office where individual cases are held. The District office told my attorney that my case is awaiting security clearance. And the security clearance can take upto 4 years from the date of fingerprinting!!!
