Successful Stamping at Hyderabad consulate ? EVC Model
I attended visa stamping with my wife (h1 & h4) at Hyderabad consulate on 22nd July and got successfully stamped.

Our appointment was at 9:45 AM. We went to consulate around 8:45 am. I noticed that consulate authorities allowing people to enter into consulate only 15 minutes prior to appointment.

Since I had dual petitions (term used by VFS people) one valid from Oct ’10-Oct ’11(old petition) and other valid from Oct ’11(new petition) they asked me for a photocopy of old petition. Since I didn’t had a photocopy I had to submit original one during interview. Finally we were called to counter and here are the interview details.

VO: what do you do?

Me: explained my duties and responsibilities (told I am providing IT services for my company customers)

Then he asked following questions.

Client name and letter

Any vendor involved

Vendor letter

Is this your 2nd H1b? (I told it was my 3rd h1b)

Are you working with the same petitioner (yes)

LCA

How long were you married?

Do you have kids?

Did you read the white pamphlet ( I told my company already gave it to me. Guys Google ‘H1B worker rights’ you should be able to find pdf)
Finally he your visas are approved and should be receiving in a week.

Few suggestions for people who are planning to attend interview.

• Organize your documents in order. You should be able to handover document requested by VO immediately ( I saw posting where people said they gave whole bundle to VO, started search in front of VO etc.. I guess it leaves a bad impression with the officer)
• Carry photocopies of all original documents.
