After the long wait the visa has been granted to my mother-in-law. The consulate was closed for a week and was not sure whether get her visa.

2. hdfc receipt
3. passport size photo
4. appointment letter
5. DS160 confirmation letter
6. India property affidavit
7. Personal affidavit (notarized)
8. Invitation letter (notarized)
9. Letter to consulate
10. marraige certicate of mother-in-law
11. Birth certificate of my wife
Second folder:
1. I-137
2. Employment letter
3. Bank account verification letter
4. bank statement
5. passport copy
6. I-94 copy
7. I-737 copy
8 passport copy of my wife
9. i-94 copy of my wife
10. marriage certificate
11. Some family photographs
People from kerala can only take HDFC receipt from cochin HDFC branch. This is a new information for me. However, US consulate is changing the rules and more options will be available on going forward.
