My father passed away last year and I brought tickets from silver wings travel in Houston (their main office is in chicago, which is probably what you used). I made payment through the Chicago office.
They basically stole my money, so my mother, brother and myself could not perform memorial services in India. The sad part is that the people at the houston branch, as well as the owners Himanshu Parekh (apparently they are also involved with the Silver Place Jewlwes on Devon Ave) and Neela Parekh knew the purpose of our visit, since I had told them.
I filed a civil suit against them in Houston and per court orders, they owe me $4000. Unfortunately, they evaded the court order and fled the state of Texas. The Sheriff and I spoke to their landlord when we went to seize their property. The landlord says that they vacated their offices without paying several months rent. There are also hundreds of other people in the Houston area (many who bought the tickets directly from the Chicago office) who are trying to hunt these people down and get their money back.
