I talked to a Uscis representative 3 days ago and they said my case in the correct processing center, the estimate time is 6 months. So, hope we can get the approved notice in 6 months.
I hope you get the approval in 6 months.

      • Guys, after asylum granted do we need to have a work permit or no?
I am pissed that the green card takes so much time to process and now if I apply for a work permit it will take god knows how long till I'll get. frustrating.

Depending on the company that would hire you. If they can accept your Asylum Aproval Letter, then you won't need the EAD. However, it's most likely that almost all companies will ask you for your EAD.
The good news is that you don't have to pay for it. Just send your application I-765 along a copy of the I-797C (Notice of action/AKA: receipt) for your I-485, and you'll be all set.

No, we don't need the work permit at all.

To which ever employer you may work for, all you need is Driving license + unrestricted SSN which will fulfill I-9 form requirement.
