Call customer care and ask to speak to a level 2 officer then ask them for advice. Don't forget to mention that your current EAD is about to expire.

    Help needed

I have made an InfoPass appointment for 5/14 (the earliest available appointment) about my I765. Question... should I come prepare and ask (in person) to get my EAD expedited? I am considering bringing documents to prove financial hardship etc to already be one step ahead of USCIS. Can I do so or can I only expedite my EAD somewhere online (or via the phone)? How does an InfoPass appointment look like? Has anyone experience with this? What documents should I bring to prove financial hardship (I make twice as much as my spouse but I am not sure if that's enough - we did use MY income to get over the 20k threshold!)? Also, should I have my company write something official regarding "intellectual loss" (aka I am needed for the company as a valuable employer and need the EAD asap!)?

Thanks for all the help. I am a bit overwhelmed right now. I honestly thought for sure I'd have gotten my EAD (or GC interview) by now...

Try to get an appointment at Midnight, you may find spots available for Infopass Appointment.

It's been day 87 from my PD and I've made the decision to ask for my EAD (my current one expires on 5/31 and my work is getting very nervous). What's the best option for me? Should I do SR or make an appointment with my local field office? Those who have expedited their EAD, what documents did you have to send (or is this electronically for once?)?

    Thanks!

    EAD baby!

FO is San Jose, California. I'm doing a i485 EAD GC married to a USC.

    1/5/18: PD date

1/29/18 Biometrics: I just walked into the office the day i got the letter and I did not wait for my appointment. They gave me the next available timeslot. I recommend everyone do the same.

2/7/18 RFE i485: I turned this around overnight and sent back everything as fast as i could. I recommend everyone do the same if you are in the same position.

4/6/18: I received an official offer letter for a full time corporate job. It was a bit of a gamble I took here to interview in parallel but not ask for sponsorship since i knew the i485 was already in process.

4/9/18: Opened a Service Request to escalate my i485 EAD since I had the offer letter in-hand.

4/10/18: Sent a note to our Representative and Ombudsman to escalate the case. I wrote a compelling letter explaining financial hardship and that I had a full time job offer letter in-hand. At this point, the only missing piece was the EAD.

4/11/18: Service Request mailed us a letter to fax in evidence and a compelling explanation to expedite our case. I sent in the offer letter and the same letter I sent to Ombudsman and our Representative.

4/19/18: I had an appointment with the local USCIS office to ask someone the status of my application and found out that my case was sent to an adjudicator.

4/24/18: got the notice "Card is being Produced".

    4/26/18: "Card is mailed"

You can start raise an SR for i765 if you're at the 90 mark or close to it. I raised an SR at day 80 so by the time they respond it would've been over 90 days LOL.

Usually, after u have been interveiwed raising SR's or Infopasses don't work. Most lawyers advise to just wait because there isn't much u can do at this time. Be patient, you'll get it dear.

My i130 and my i765 just say "we received your case" and my i485 timeline shows that it was received, that they sent the RFIE, show my biometrics, and show that they received the response to the RFIE.

After what day can I request a SR or if I make an appointment at my local office, what am I supposed to ask? Just "why is this taking so long?" lol
