expedite my case?
Hi guys
I have filed my I485 in Jan 2018 and done Finger print 31th Jan. I received my interview letter last month but they called me yesterday that they have to reschedule that because my back ground check is still pending. my medical exam singed date is July 2017. I am wondering if my case is eligible to request an expedite also, do you need if I have to take the medical again if my interview date pass the signed date?
Thanks

See our timeline below. I don't think yours is behind at all. Your PD started over when you sent the response to the RFIE. So it has only been 3 months. It took about 5 months for us to get my husbands EAD.

I've been following this thread for a couple of months, with the hope that I'll be able to relate my case to all of your experience. However, I'm a bit worried now since my case is kind of behind most of yours. So I just want to speak up and ask for advise. Please see my timeline as following:
USCIS Received I-130 & I-485: 01/25/2018
Received NOA of I-130 & I-485: 02/01/2018
Received Biometrics Letter: 02/02/2018
USCIS Received I-765: 02/12/2018
Received NOA of I-765: 02/17/2018
Biometrics Done: 02/20/2018
Received RFIE (I-485): 02/20/2018
USCIS Received response to RFIE: 03/05/2018
Inquiry (I-765) submitted: 05/15/2018
Inquiry (I-765) assigned to an officer: 06/01/2018
Inquiry (I-765) responded: 06/07/2108 (Case is still in normal processing time)
Since then, I haven't heard or received anything more yet. All cases are still in the state "Case Was Received". I'm living in Boston, MA and pretty sure that my cases have been handled by National Benefits Center.
Advises are truly appreciated!
Thank you!

I have no idea what my field office is. All of my cases indicate that National Benefits Center is handling them. I'm living in Boston and sent my application to Chicago, IL.
And YES! We do have a very similar timeline!! At least you already got your EAD card while I'm still waiting for it. Where are you living?
Best!

I raised SR on April,20 something about my 765***31. They replied back on May 15th said" you will hear about the decision shortly".
Your 765 is submitted on Feb, I think now it needs 5 months at least to process. You can ask them again on July.

My 485 status has never changed.....I am not sure if it will change to "ready to schedule" or something

Originally posted by UScitizenFilingforspouse View PostWhat Cali said is correct. Your PD is ~03/05/18. Your case will remain at the NBC until your interview is scheduled. In other words, your case will eventually reach the "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" stage, and then your field office will give the green light to schedule your interview. Your status will change to "Interview scheduled". Then your case is relocated to your field office.

We waited about 2 hours after out appointment time in the waiting room, then we got invited to the interview room.
The interview lasted about 10 minutes total, pretty much all the questions were just verifying the i-485 form was filled properly.
I was asked for an employment letter from my employer to confirm employment. We were told to name each-others parents, show our birth certificates, our marriage certificate, and show the title to our house. That's it. We brought a bunch of photos, trip itineraries, bank statements, etc etc but the officer didn't ask to see any of that at all so we never even took them out.
20min after we left the interview I got a text saying status has been updated and it is now "card being produced".
Hope the best for everyone else!
All the best!
