              EAD/AP Renewal Application Status?

Thank you for those who replied to my earlier status check on Interview Notices.

Has anyone also sent out their EAD/AP renewal applications? If yes, how long did you receive a 797-Notice of Action afterwards?

              Much appreciate your updates.

              Cheers

                Seattle timeline

Hi! today i had few extra hours so I pulled some data from Seattle files. It seems people are getting interview notice between 14 and 16 months after PD date ( pretty close to the processing times information in the USCIS website).

Note that I got this information from your posts.

If you filed in 2017 and do not see your alias here, please share your timeline :-)

@Gaps0214 it seems we might get our interview notice between May 18 and July19.

Andie - this is some excellent sleuthing, thank you!
It really puts the waiting time in perspective.
It obviously differs from state to state and I get jealous the eastsiders in NYC and NJ seem to be getting a real good deal with their timelines, interviews in less than 12 months.

Dorothy / Andie - have you sent out your EAD/AP renewal applications yet? I'm writing this on the fly so my apologies if you have replied to this question previously. It's going to be 3 weeks since I sent mine out to Chicago Lockbox and not a sign of I-767 Notice of Action from USCIS in my mailbox.

                      Cheers!

                        Seattle AOS interview & approval

Hi there, just received confirmation that our green card was approved & sent for production today.

                        PD: July, 2017
                        I-140 approved May, 2018
                        I-485 submitted 31st July, 2018
                        Interview March 6, 2019
                        Approved March, 11
                        EB1 (C)
                        ROW -UK
                        Parking is now $8

Interview was March 6th, husband, myself & 3 kids (all below 14).

We had a 12:15 appointment, went through security, waited about 5 mins and were called in. Had a very nice IO, he made us sign the attorney waiver as we did not take an attorney (change in employer policy).

He checked our ID, tookfinger prints and Photo. Stood up and took oath.

As the applicant he started with me, checked all the info on dob, name, and updated our address. He asked me all the yes/ no questions and to save time asked my husband to provide his response after mine.

He was very mindful of the kids and edited the language in the questions (such as prostitution).

He then asked me straight forward questions
Salary, employers name, whether I had worked for anyone else?, where & how long I worked for my employer in my home country (L1), name of my current boss, his job title, my husbands dob & full name.

He then asked my husband my full name & Date of birth. He asked him where we met, how long we dated, when we got married and who was at our wedding. I accidentally answered one of the questions and he said ?dude you can?t answer for him?

He joked to confirm the kids were ours, asked them their names & ages.

The kids were restless and curious and he just took it in his stride.

He then gave us a paper stating the case needed review and explained this was due to the sealed medical reports we just submitted and that he will approve our case.

We have travel booked end of March and the IO said we should get the 1-551 stamp before traveling. As he had back to back interviews and then was oof for two days the official approval got done March 11th, he called me in person to confirm he had approved the case and to come in and get the stamps (inc kids) - he had given us a note when we went for our interview so post security, he was called to see us.

Though I had my AP, the kids did not (Approved but MIA) - IO said we needed the
I-551 stamp as our GC was approved, he stamped all passports with temporary GC approval valid for 60 days.

The learning here is if you are traveling soon after your interview- ask for the 1-551 stamp.

USCIS were very helpful and went above and beyond to get us out of our travel jam.

Hope this helps - hang in there, best of luck

Hi there, posting Incase it helps.

                          Interview-March 6
AOS approval, verbal on the day, he needed to review the medical forms and as he was back to back followed by two days oof, official approval March 11th.

Due to imminent travel IO called us in person to confirm approval in the system and asked us to go back to USCIS so he could insert the I-551 stamp in all passports- he went out of his way to help and followed up everything he said he would do.

                          Parking is now $8

Learning: if traveling after I-485 is approved, only travel internationally with the I-551 stamp, not the AP,

                          Hope this helps, good luck

Hello! New to this forum/process so excuse my ignorance.

I'm canadian / TN Visa at entry in 2015

Are interviews scheduled in order of priority date? Does this mean I should get one soon since everyone else seems to be in 2017/18!?
Today, we got the update "Ready to schedule our interview"!

That's very important, thank you for sharing. I have read that after I-485 approval the AP is no longer valid. It is good to know that they can do the I-551 stamp if you need to travel.

Definitely it has something to do with EB and not FB. I haven't seen a FB case that it only takes 1 day from ready to schedule to scheduled interview.
