Yes. We had radio silence for about 4 months between the biometrics and courtesy letter - but then things really started moving quickly after that. Come in the nick of time for us too because my husband's work visa is expiring at the end of the month.

              Good luck to everyone.

I am in San Francisco and I did not receive my EAD yet. (February 12, 2019 applicant - c9) I made an inquiry and waiting for the answer. Hoping to hear back from them by September 7, if not I will contact with ombudsman to find a solution. My case is ready to be scheduled on August 1. Looks like they'll try to reduce processing time. Hope they do it.

USCIS will implement a national strategy to decrease differences in processing times based on location for Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, and Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

Hi nostoc, I hope you receive it soon. I think EAD cards are processed by NBC which is a national center. Since your PD is so close to ours, you probably will receive it soon. Fingers crossed!

Forgot to update this thread earlier, but I woke up this morning to see an update from USCIS that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. I updated my timeline below.

I'm a bit curious to see if I get scheduled in Santa Ana (my "home" field office) or a nearby office. It seems Santa Ana is the fastest of the field offices in the area for employment based applications by a small margin (most of the nearby offices have processing times of 10.5 months to 23 months, Santa Ana's is 10 to 18 months). I guess we'll see.

Congratulations. You can Google USCIS Los Angeles or Santa Ana and look under "service area" and it will give you the zip codes for the perspective offices. Please share with us when you have your interview date. Thanks.

Like I said, I know Santa Ana is the field office I'm assigned to. I'm more referring to the memo from a few weeks back regarding cases being sent to other field offices to balance workload. Given the processing times at the nearby offices, it would seem I will just be assigned to Santa Ana, but I'm not ruling out that I might be sent to interview at another office.

I'll be sure to update here when I get scheduled for an interview.

I am marring an USC on August 23rd 2019. I was researching about the filing process and came across this forum. My fiance libes in Newark, CA. I will have to start my I-485. Any tips and comments for me?? We are also thinking of doing it through an attorney. Any suggestions would be helpful.

                              Thanks in advance
