Off topic but.... DMV ID

Heyy yall
I have an unusual question.... or maybe not.
So I recently got my EAD and I was able to do my permit and eventually my licence, however my issue is " NOT FOR FEDERAL PURPOSES".
Is there any chance a person whos still waiting on green cart is able to get regular licence id? I want to use it to board a plane, since me and my husband didnt travel much,it is the only boomer that I cant use my ID to fly domestically. Did you guys know anything about this. I can only provide them with my SSN and EAD so far cuz we still waiting for interview (February 2019 -NYC)

Non-REAL-ID driver's licenses and IDs can be used to board flights up to October 1, 2020, and hopefully you would get your green card before then. Also, an EAD can be used to board flights by itself, and if you get a DL/ID based on an EAD, it would be limited to the EAD's period of validity anyway.
