I haven't received my NOAs yet, let alone RFE for i-944, but those of us who didn't include i-944 will be expecting a RFE.
This retroactive application of requirement sucks. They clearly said don't submit it. So I didn't. I wish they had said it earlier, submit it anyways or something along those lines. Some folks here advised me to submit it, but I didn't because I felt like I should follow the USCIS instructions.
                  <End of Rant/>

Working on I-944 now because I will inevitably get an RFE.

                    Filing - I-485, I-130 / 130A, I-693, I-765, I-131, I-864, I-944 together.

I spoke to Immigration on the phone on the 16th and they were adament the i-944 would not be re-introduced. At least not before the new year. My husband was not convinced and we prepped the entire file just incase. So glad we did.

Im apprehensive that my choice to opt out of health insurance the past three years living in the USA is going to go against me despite everything else in the form being peachy.

I worked on our i-944 for 3 months, and it turned out to be 131 pages of evidence. Then they said "don't submit it", but I did not care, I put in so much work, so I submitted it anyways. I'm glad I did.

It's not fair what they are doing to the people. After February 24, many people figured they cannot even pass the I-944 requirements, so they decided not to even send in an AOS package. Then there was hope for them again when they said the I-944 was not required anymore. So those people finally sent in their AOS package. Now if they cannot pass the I-944, they don't just get denied, they might even get deported. What a trap!

I need your advice on the below situation. How can i stay in US after applying i-485.
                            1. My PD is May2019.
                            2. i-140 is pending, for EB1C.
                            3. Got a message from attorney is that now i am eligible for i-485 and AP.
                            4. Also, got an email today that my name is picked up in the 2nd lottery for H1B cap (20-21)
                            Question :
Is it advisable to file the i485 ?
Since the time is short for my l1a timeout, I may not get the AP and EAD by Dec 16, 2020.
Can i continue my work on the basis of pending i485 ?
Can i utilise the H1B to stay in US ? Is it legal to apply for H1B while i maxout 7 years on L1A, and also i94 and L1A visa is expiring by 16th December, 2020 ?
If i file H1B can i legally stay in US and work till the time i didnt got the confirmation from US on my H1B visa (either approved or rejected )

Please let me know in case any queries on the above content.

I did not. I really hae no intention of ever doing so either. I know how bad that is if i ever have an accident.
Being from the UK and then living in Australia where health care is either free or costs very little i cant wrap my head around paying over 3.5k a year for insurance that dosent even cover a doctors visit. Ive, touch wood, yet to have more than one visit to the ER in 4 decades of my life (fractured elbow tripping over my flared jeans lol), and havnt had to visit the Dr in over 6yrs except for the recent visa medical. So, so far its cheaper for me just to pay out of pocket.
