Switching Employer - special case.

I am working for company A which is sponsoring my Green Card (CP).

Company A send me as a consultant to company B
They put me on a contract to hire from company A to
company B.

company B will not make an offer to me until I get my Green Card process over, and in between the Contract to hire will be extended between A and B until I get the green card.

Company A doesn't have a problem with that.

Is it safe to move to company B once I get my green card stamped at the POE and before getting the Plastic Card
considering that company A doesn't have a problem if I moved to company B.

Also, would this affect me when time come to get the US citizenship ??
