Help! Not received Receipt of Notice for Re-entry I-131 application

Hi, I am a permanent resident and I filed for reentry permit, I-131. I mailed my application on March 8th and it was received by Dallas Lockbox on March 11th. It was received "at the Dock" and signed as well. Today is the 14th and I have still not received my receipt of notice nor has the check cashed. I had also filed out Form G-1145 for text/email notifications but nothing on that as well.

Should I file another one?

I think you have to wait, maybe 2-3 weeks.

Thanks a lot for sharing your case details. Can I leave the country before I receive the approval notice and come back for biometrics? The reason I need to go back is my mother is blind and disable and I have to take care of her. In fact that is the reason I have to file for re-entry. Thanks again.

You have GC, right?

Are you planning to stay outside the USA for more than 6 months or 1 year? If you travel and return within 6 months, you will have no issues. If between more than 6 months but less than a year, then they may ask you why at POE.

If more than 1 year, then you need the Reentry Permit to return.
