  • green card abandon

hi, me and my family recently got our immigrant visas approved (F-4 family sponsored case). we are indian citizens originally
the question i have is that, if the principal applicant decides to abandon his green card, what would happen to the other beneficiaries in that case?
    please help me out here.

Now that everyone has GC, each one is responsible for their own. This is what I understand. So if principal decides not to keep GC the others are not affected.

how sure are you about this?
should we maybe consult an immigration attorney?

Pretty sure, if you have an unrestricted GC.
You should always consult an immigration attorney in important matters and not just rely on information from public forums, even when, sometimes, you get better information from the forums than from some lawyers (they don't know all and some just want to charge for everything).

yeah that's pretty much the case with attorneys.
we will get an unrestricted GC, it is a family sponsored case.
          thanks for your help.
