  • Can I file I-751 without Affidavit letter of support?

    Hello ,

We are planning to file I-751 for my spouse in August 2020. However, due to this COVID-19 situation ,we don't want our Friends & Family to expose outside to notarize a letter for us. we feel It's not safe to ask either.
However,We have whole bunch of proofs such as
    • Joint Lease Agreements
    • Joint Savings & checking accounts [Total 3-4 Banks]
    • Joint Credit card accounts [~10-11 cards as authorized users]
    • Last 3 years Joint Tax returns
    • Joint Utility bill
    • Joint Health & car insurance
    • My spouse name as beneficiary on Life insurance
    • Joint photos [Travel photos, photos with friends and family]
    • Joint Airline tickets
    • As we dated more than 9 years before marriage, we have that 9 years proof as well. [Bunch of travel tickets & photos]- Should I include that?
    • Joint Flu shots receipts
Will these be enough or we have to add Affidavits?
Anyone has an experience filing I-751 without an Affidavit of letter from friend/family? will I get an RFE for that?

    We really appreciate your guidance.

    Thank you

    this should be enough

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

If we decide to ask letter of supports, can we just submit Sworn statement? will they accept?

From what I understand, affidavits of support are weighted pretty low in terms of evidence. I submitted my i485 without one and received my green card within 90 days and didn't include any with my I-751.

@logee94, have you received Biometrics appointment letter? if yes, after how long once you submitted?

I received a I-797 saying USCIS applied my biometrics from my AOS case, so there is no need to attend a biometrics appointment.
