Immigration situation after divorce
I have been married to my spouse for 8 years. We met abroad and moved to the UK to live together and start a life. He is a UK citizen. I was a US greencard holder. I am now a UK citizen ( as well as a citizen of my country of origin which is not America ) My whole family is in the states and are now citizens. They have been there for nearly 30 years. Me and my husband have a son together who is 5.
Our marriage is broken. We fight constantly and I’m just tired and I give up. I don’t want to be with this man anymore. I’m not gonna get into all the things that have lead me to feel this way I just want some legal advice.
If we divorce am I permanently stuck here in the Uk? Is there anyway I can move back to America and have full custody of our son ? Can I possibly get citizenship through my family ? I feel so trapped. I don’t have any family here in the Uk only my husbands side. Thank you.
