  • American moving to Australia

I hear that Australia is currently launching a huge drive to attract qualified immigrants. I plan of moving there but would like a bit of advice on how qualified I am. I will have my MBA by the time I move and I will have roughly 10 yrs in IT. My wife will have a Masters in Accountancy but zero experience in it. We are both American so we speak English. So, what do you think our chances are?

    Both of you ...

... seem to be more than qualified to move to Aus.

    Good luck.

      Good luck.
How about the cost of living in Aus compared to the US? Much difference?

Ah! That's where I may not be too helpful ...

... the costs vary drastically from area to area and in different regions.

For example Sydney is much more expensive than Perth.

You'll need to first decide on where you want to live and then look into the costs at that place.

        Take care.
