Is my US born kid eligible for OCI ? I'm not clear on the OCI eligibility

Hello Everyone,

My wife and I, are both Indian Citizens. My kid was born in US. She is 2 yr old and currently holds a PIO card. I would like to know if she is eligible for OCI ?

Also, we are currently in India, Is it possible to process OCI from India.

Hmm, I don't think so. You'd both have to lose Indian citizenship first, I think.

For your child to apply for OCI, at least one parent must be non-Indian citizen.
