Hi,
I am in H1-B in usa and my Visa is getting expired in May-2016. My wife was expecting and her due date was Sept-17. We have planned for getting a Indian Passport for our baby, but suddenly due to some change in client requirement i have been asked to go back to India by Oct-18. We came to know this on Sep-14 and then it was not possible for my wife to move back to India.
After my childbirth in urgency i have to apply for US Passport and will get PIO card well before 18th Oct.
As of now, we don't have any plan of coming back to USA. So now can my child get Indian citizenship after staying in India for 7 years?
