  • Propertly being joint (mother-son/ mil-dil) is suggested or not

    Hi all,
We purchased a land in Hyd which we are planning to register in my mil's name.
Keeping in mind any future travels that she may expect (currently me and hubby are here in hyd) in case we go abroad (both of us are IT professionals), which is better?
-> having me/my husband as a co-owner of the land?

[The other reason we want either of our names in the land was for IT purpose if we build a house there.]

Would it be of any issue in her visitor visa if the property is not solely owned by her?

    Note:
    1. My husband is the only child of his parents.
    2. This would be the only immovable asset in my mil/fil names.
    3. FIL is retired and pension-holder. No immovable assets in his name (unless we register this land in his name as well).
Your experience and insight would be of great help as we are planning for the plot registration this week.
    TIA
