  • Driving license for OCI holder

    Hi,

Anyone has any suggestions on getting a driving license in India after getting OIC. My original Indian license expired long ago and I didn't renew it.

    Thanks.

OCI card holders are on par with citizens (except vote, run for office and buy agriculture land).
Driver Licenses are issued by the state.
I would check with the regional transport office (RTO) for docs required. If you really want to take it easy, hire an agent, pay a fee and they will get all your docs in order and go with you to the office (fyi....some RTO's will not allow them inside anymore)

      Thanks, R78!

From the learner's license to permanent license, it takes a while. While on a 2 week trip to India, it is not easy to get it through all the steps. Any suggestions on that.

If you're willing to pay, you can get it.
Also, you only need the license if you get caught
