Jewellery allownce for NRI's

Hi,

I am an NRI visiting India and will be caryying some jewellery as we are there to attend a marriage. Now how and what do I have to prove that the jewellery we will be carrying is ours and for personal use?

As recently my friend had a bad experience and didn't know too well what had to be done.

When you reach India, you can ask the customs officer to note down in your passport whatever jewelery you are bringing into India.
