Hi Friends,
I live in US. My FCNR deposit cerificate (amount in dollars) with State Bank in Chennai is maturing on 5 January 2011. I want to close it and ask the Bank to give me a bank draft for the amount so I can repatriate it.
Is this easy? Will the bank give me any trouble ? The manager seems reluctant to repatriate it. He wants me to renew it, but I want to repatriate my money.
What is the procedure ?
