ead/ap combo renewal 120 days prior to expiration

hi

does the 180 days auto extension only apply to ead part or ap as well if filed before expiration date?
if yes one can file a day before the ead/ap expires if it only applies to ead then both apps should be sent in 120 days before exp to get a new ead/ap. is that correct? thanks

Only the EAD is automatically extended. Not AP.

thanks newacct. so it's okay to send both renewal forms at the same time? i heard the ap needs to be expired in order to submit renewal.
