Hi,
My six years of H1-B expired on March 09, 2001. However, in December 2000 my employer had applied for extension of my H1-B beyond six years under the new Act(AC21 - which allows for extension of H1-B beyond six years) and I have the receipt for the same. I also filed my I-485 application in February, 2001 and subsequently received the receipt for the same. This receipt is dated March 02, 2001.
Could somebody advise whether I yet require to apply for EAD(Employment Authorization Document) or will the fact that my employer has a pending H1-B extension application for me be enough to maintain status.
