What is going on???

Case received 12/14/2018.
Aside from biometrics, nothing else has happened with our case.
I just don’t understand it. Some people from January have their green cards.
Case inquiry for EAD 08/01/2019
Case inquiry for I-485 08/08/2019.
Yet the case inquiry for EAD hasn’t been assigned to an officer.

I am beyond upset with how uscis handles the cases. I also filed in December 2018 and no updates. On 07/31 I submitted a inquiry about my case being out of normal processing time. On one of the accounts, it says on 08/10 they sent me a response to my inquiry. I haven't received anything in the mail yet. I don't want a response, I want an approval.
I submitted an inquiry for my I-765 on the same day, and it says it hasn't been assigned to an officer yet.????
