Hi,
I'm new here and want to apologize if the answers to my questions are in another thread but with so many posts i could not see the(clear) answers i was looking so i started a new post.
I'm a qualified carpenter from Ireland but have been living and working in Sydney for over three years.
I don't have any real contacts in America anymore(my brother was there for 15yrs) to sponsor or offer me a visa through work so is my only other option is to apply for a green card?
If i was wanted to apply for a green card today could i do so as by reading the website it looks like if i apply before the 30th September 2014 i will be eligible for a 2015 process?
Is it a slim chance that people get granted a green card so therefor id have to wait another year to apply so what would be my other options or what ways have other people gone through the process of getting a visa?
