  • Help - Employment based Green card

    Hello,

My nationality is Indian. I work for Citigroup. My company filed my PERM application under EB2 in Dec 2013. Case was picked up in random audit (in Jul 2014). Audits take an year - so I'll probably get an answer by Jul 2015, after which I'll file for I-140. My 6th year of H1B expired this year, Citi filed for renewal - which has been approved for another 3 years.

I started a business on the side which is generating nominal profits. I want to quit my job as soon as possible, and focus full-time on my business.

    Questions -

    1. When is the earliest (at what stage) I can quit my job and still retain the EB2 priority date?
    2. Can I quit my job after my I-140 is approved?
    3. Does the primary applicant get EAD in the green card process?
    4. Can I apply for EAD after I-140 is approved and can I quit my job?
    5. Can I switch my employer after my I-140 is approved (such that I won’t lose my priority date)?
    6. The recent executive action taken by President Obama, will it help me in anyway
