Can my wife work after filing for I-485

My wife is on H4.If I file my Green card this year,can my wife work as soon as she files for I-485 along with my I-485.If not how long will she have to wait to work for any company she likes.

Applying for CS is not only compose of I485, there are other forms to be filled up. One of those is I765 for people who wish to work while 485 is pending. This will take approx.2-3 months to receive approval, then you can get her a SSN and OLAH!!! she can work anywhere...
