        Time frame's pretty hazy

        It may take much less or much more time for different people, depending on various factors like RFEs etc.

        Take care.

          what is a RFE, knowledgeable?

          which Eligibility Category was your sister, joywater? EB-1, EB-2,....?
          Does the eligibility category affect the processing time?

          (so many questions, so little time.... )

            RFE, Processing time ...

            RFE = Request for Evidence
            USCIS sends RFE for info on your case or to verify submitted data.

            Yes, eligibility affects processing times. Read all the details at IMMIHELP here: /employment-based-greencard/

              this is a great link, knowledgeable!
              as a foreign-trained healthcare provider from Spain w/ a US Master specialty-degree, I thought I was going to have to file through EB-2, but the IMMIHELP link says that EB-3 are processed faster!!!!!

                Not sure what category she falls under but she is a special education teacher currently working on her PHD, she had no RFE'S so im not sure why it took that long.
