My company for which I have been working so far on an L1 visa offered me to sponsor the Green Card application. But they appear to be unwilling to sponsor for my family (wife + 3kids), leaving me with more than $10,000 additional cost.
At the moment my family has L2 and according to the information my company provided to me, would have to leave the country once the GC were approved, as their visa is dependent on mine. And according to them, there is no other option then either stay on L1 (+L2) or apply for GCs for the entire family.
Makes little sense to me, can anyone inform me whether there are alternatives?
