Biometrics appointment letter not received

Hi,

I have filed my 485 application few weeks back. Details below

PD - 11/2013
Received at USCIS - Aug 25 2020
Fingerprint fee processed - Sep 24
Receipt notice received by mail - Oct 1
Application currently in National benefits center

I have not yet received the biometrics appointment letter yet. Should I continue to wait or can I do something? how long does it normally takes?

You should get it soon but I have seen people waiting for 3-5 weeks for getting the receipt number these days. So, there has been a slow movement since October, 2020 because of large no. of applications filed in that month.

I guess all we can do is wait for the biometrics letter. It took 4 weeks for me to get the receipt number and I filed in August. Some people I know filed 485 in Oct 3rd week and are still waiting for receipt number. Looks like its been slow for a while.

Yes Same here for my N400 Application for Naturalization. . My Priority date is 07/29/2020 and I am still waiting for my biometric appointment. It has been almost 7 months. Is this not normal? Any security check or covid issue. I mailed them they said you should wait. What do you think guys? might it be a problem with my case or what? It will be invaluable if you can answer it.

I have been waiting for my biometric test since August'2020 yet no response..estimated time they gave me to finish my case is May2021... is this possible? please share your thoughts.
