95 DAYS AND NO NOTICE FOR I-485 Sup J

My new employer is porting my I-485 and back in November we mailed the packet to the Texas Lockbox. FedEx shows proof of delivery. I have not received a Notice of Receipt. USCIS agents tell me they do not see this porting packet on my file. We emailed the Lockbox and the automated response states that they will not look any further into this because my inquiry is about an I-485J which is a form for which they do not print notices. So what do I do? Customs denied my entry to the US two weeks ago when I tried using my Advance Parole because I could not prove that my current employer had started the portability... They let me in with my tourist visa which put my whole I-485 application at risk because my I-94 was showing B1. Thankfully we requested the correction of the I-94 and Customs fixed that. However, I will be traveling abroad again and do not want this nightmare to happen yet again.
