  • Applying for green card as a spouse of a US citizen.

Currently, I am in USA as a student (F-1 Visa). I got married to a US citizen.

The forms needed to filled by US citizen (my spouse) are the following forms -
    1. Form I-130 (Petition for Alien relative)
    2. Form I-864 (Affidavit of Support).

The forms that needs to be filled my me (Alien) are -
    1. Form I-130A (Supplemental Information for spouse beneficiary),
    2. Form I-485 (Adjust Status or Application to register Permanent Residence),
    3. Form I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization),
    4. Form I-693 (Medical Examination).
    5. Form I -864A (Contract between spouse and household members)
    6. Form I-131 (Travel)

What are the other forms needed? Did I list any forms, which are not required?

You don't need to file I-864A if you are the intending immigrant.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

      are you on OPT?
I am also filling out and I am also a student, it is my understanding that we do not have to do I 864A if we are the beneficiary.
I am not doing 131, not sure if I have to

You don't have to file I-131 if you don't want, but because is free to file with I-485 and some people want to travel back to home country for vacation or to take care of some things, that's why most people file with I-765 to get a combo card (work and parole back to USA).
