Approved I130 and in USA but the application is sent for NVC

Hi,
Im in USA (on H1b) and my I130 is approved (applied through wife whos has greencard). Currently my application is for NVC processing (Mumbai).
How can i apply for doing change of status instead of going through NVC? What will be the next steps for me.
