Hi, I have my green card, married to US citizen. Looking into sponsoring my mother but she tells me that she was deported 35 years ago and that she was prohibited into the US for 5 years(illegal entry, no passport or visa). Can anyone tell me which route to go? Is there a special form we would need to fill out for her?

And your mother didn't try to enter the US again after being deported, right? No special form needs to be filled out. You and her just need to answer Yes on form questions that ask about whether she has been in deportation proceedings.

You know that you need to be a US citizen before you can petitioner her, right?

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
