    I-130

    Is USCIS still accepting applications for 1-130 petition for alien relative even with the executive order in place to stop processing I-130 applications? Should I apply now and let my application be in queue or wait until they start processing applications.

    I had a consultation with a lawyer a few months ago and they advised to apply now so that once USCIS resumes normal operations, my application will be in line to be processed. Can anyone confirm this.

    There is no order stopping processing of I-130. There is an order against issuing certain immigrant visas, but the immigrant visa is a much later step in the process.
