Spouse's I-140 approved, I-485 not filed, can I travel?

My husband has filed I-140 (EB1) and included me and my daughter on it. The petition was approved. I'm in the US on F-1 visa now. We're not planning to file I-485 immediately for a number of personal reasons. Can I go to my home country for the summer and take my daughter with me at this point? Can I have my F-1 renewed while I'm there?

I know you're asked at the consulate whether you have applied to become a permanent resident of the US or not. I was just wondering whether it applied to dependents, since I have not filed I-140 or personally signed it.
