My brother in law is currently in a senior managerial position on L1 A. Few years back, he was on H1-B. After working for approx 5 years 10 months, he moved to India, stayed there for more than an year. Later he was transferred to US with L1 A status.
While he was on H1-B, his employer had processed his green card in EB-2 category. Recently he received approval on I-140. However his priority date is not current yet.
Given this, is there a way he can switch job/change employer?
