H1B Transfer/Extension on Approved I-140

I am currently working with Company A on an approved I-140 (Priority Date Current, ROW Category) and my H1B is valid till May 2019 (6 Year H1B Term ended Oct 2017). My firm is not willing to file the AOS since I am currently not in the offered role (pending promotion and salary increase, might be 2-3 years)

I am looking to transfer my H1B to Company B in the next couple weeks. Am I eligible to receive a 1 Year H1B extension past May 2019?
