1-40 applied, Can i apply for h1-B extention ?

Hi There,

My company had given me pre-approved labor (RIR Substitution) and they had applied I-140 in May 2007. I am on H1-B and I am completing 6 years by Oct 2007.

On what basis can I apply for H1-B extension.

1. on approved labor apply or can I apply extenstion with I-140 receipt (I-140 is not yet approved).

Can anyone pl answer my question ?

As long as your Green Card process is underway ..does not matter which stage, you should be eligible for H1B extension.
