  • I-140 Experience Letter Question

I got RFE for evidence of experience for my EB3 I-140, the LC requires 1 year experience. I worked only 6 months for another US company before I joined the current company, but I worked more than 5 years in my country, so I got the experience letter from the former company in my country.
But, the letter is NOT from the HR of the former employer, it's from my former department director who is still working in the company, he did use the company letterhead, signed on the letter and attached his business card with the letter.
I'm just wondering: Will USCIS treat this letter as an acceptable letter "from the former employer", or they will treat it as personal letter (if so, I'll need 2 letters like this and attach a self-affidavit explaining why the letter is not from the former HR)?

    Any colleague should do

As far as my knowledge goes, one can have the letter done from any senior employee or even colleague of that company. It should be acceptable.

    Good Luck!
