  • NVC Interview scheduled for mother - What documents are needed?

    Hello:
The travel.state.gov website is giving conflicting information.

    On this page https://travel.state.gov/content/tra...interview.html

The applicant is responsible to bring all required original or certified copy civil documents to the visa interview. Failure to bring all required documents to the interview may cause delay or denial of the visa.  You must bring the following documents to the interview:
    • Appointment Letter – The interview appointment letter you received from NVC.
    • Passport – For each applicant, an unexpired passport valid for six months beyond the intended date of entry into the United States
    • Photographs – two identical color photograph(s) for each applicant, which must meet the general Photograph Requirements.
    • DS-260 Confirmation Page
    • Supporting Documents – original or certified copies of all documents you uploaded into CEAC.
    On this page https://travel.state.gov/content/dam...0interview.pdf

Applicants who fall into any category listed in italics below should bring these additional documents:
    • For family-based visa applications:
      • The appropriate Form I-864 Affidavit of Support for each financial sponsor along with a photocopy of the sponsor’s IRS transcript or most recent U.S. federal income tax return, and any relevant W-2s.
      • Proof of your U.S. petitioner’s status and domicile in the United States. (photocopy of a U.S. passport, naturalization certificate, or legal permanent resident card).
      • Evidence of the relationship between the petitioner and visa applicant (for example, photographs and letters).
The question is, does the person need to take the Form I-864 with them or not because we have already uploaded all the financial documentation to the https://ceac.state.gov/IV when we filed the DS-260. If they already have the documents with them, do we need to take them again?

    Thanks,
    Konukko

Once you already submit I-864 to NVC, you don't need to submit agian.

Thank you for your response. I am wondering who needs to take it to the consulate as per the instructions in this document?
